In September 2014, controversy arose over a promise made by the Chinese government that Hong Kong would get to elect its own chief executive in 2017.
When I first brought Brady to see my hometown in December 2014, the main highway that runs through the city’s island side was still completely overtaken by protesters. Aware that we had stepped into a monumental moment in history, we decided to document it. We’re still amidst post-production, so please stay tuned.
